Up to AVP, P&L and Business control Analyst
 
Your job will be to work closely with the Distressed traders covering; Cash, Loans and Derivative transactions, understanding and producing accurate P&L reporting and month end balance sheet reconciliations.  
 
Key Responsibilities
   

Daily production and reporting of P&L for trading;
Production of risk based explanations for P&L movements;
Reconciliation of cash movements;
Month end balance sheet and management reporting; 
Identification and resolution of booking and system issues;
Establish relationships across departments to ensure structures are appropriately captured for accounting, valuation and settlement purposes;
Work closely with Traders and Trade support to resolve Risk and P&L issues;
Involvement in project work to develop and enhance control and reporting requirements.
 
The successful candidate will have:
 

Advanced Excel - Excel, MS Access – These are a must for a product controller and should be able to create new queries in a db set up by the person in question, create tables, joining tables.
Strong Communication - Will require regular communication with the trading desk and other groups within the bank
Knowledge of Loans, bonds and derivatives (vanilla and structured)
Fully Qualified ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent with strong understanding of the fundamentals of accounting principles
